Chester County Career Corps is a year-round program that provides valuable information, encouragement, support, and resources to youth as they strive to achieve their academic and career goals. In partnership with the Council for the Workforce of Tomorrow and the Chester County Workforce Development Board, the mission of Career Corps is to facilitate a workforce development system designed to provide youth with access to opportunities for educational enrichment, career development and job placement services.
Career Corps offers several services to help career-bound youth land in a position they both enjoy and feel satisfied with their work in. From skill building and certifications to the job search and interview prep, we can help you the whole way through. Under Title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 and with the support of the Chester County Workforce Development Board, the WIOA Youth program delivers comprehensive youth services that focus on assisting out-of-school youth and in-school youth, with one or more barriers to employment, prepare for employment and postsecondary education opportunities; attain educational and/or skills training credentials; and secure employment with career/promotional opportunities.

The WIOA Youth program includes the following program elements: tutoring; alternative secondary school services; paid and unpaid work experiences, which include: summer and year round employment opportunities, pre-apprenticeship programs, internships and job shadowing, and on-the-job training;
occupational skill training; education offered concurrently with workforce preparation and training; leadership development opportunities; supportive services; mentoring; follow-up services; comprehensive guidance and counseling; financial literacy education; entrepreneurial skills training; services that provide labor market and employment information; and postsecondary education and training preparation activities.

“I am the Program Coordinator for Career Corps Youth Program and lead the EDSI youth team in Chester County, PA. I am committed to building strong community partnerships to create more opportunities for youth to access vital employment and education resources. As part of my role, I also serve as the dedicated case manager for our program participants, providing personalized support and one-on-one guidance to help them reach their goals.
Additionally, I conduct orientations and workshops, such as career readiness workshops, in the community. These sessions support other youth organizations in the area and help young people develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workforce. Whether it’s resume building, interview preparation, or job search strategies, I am here to help you navigate your path to a successful career.”
